Canadian solar panels
| Since it was incorporated in 2001 Canadian Solar has turned itself into one of the fastest growing producers of solar panels in the world. Listed on NASDAQ in 2006 it is incorporated in Canada, but most of the companies production occurs in China. Canadian Solar's state of the art production facilities are located on three continents; enabling Canadian Solar to distribute solar panels to 24 different countries. The company employs manufacturing standards which go above and beyond the industry average allowing them to keep costs low and quality high.
Canadian Solar's testing lab, which opened its doors in 2008, puts the companies solar panels through many tests of sustainability and durability. These tests include salt and water spray chambers, outdoor exposure, load testing, and many other tests to ensure each solar panel meets the companies standards. additionally these panels are tested at 113 pounds per square foot instead of the industry average 50 pounds per square foot; this means Canadian Solar panels have been proven to withstand heavier snow loads and higher winds then the industry average. |

As a result of these tests Canadian Solar's solar panels have been warranted to maintain 90 percent of its output after 10 years and 80 percent after 25 years. The company has successfully integrated the lowest manufacturing cost structure in the solar industry; allowing their panels to be cost competitive and leaders in design and reliability.
Canadian Solar offers wafers, solar cells, ingots, solar PV modules, ingots, and specialized solar products. Canadian Solar's panels are offered in 190 watts, 220 watts and 230 watts; the 190 watts panels are 7.33 amps while the 230 watt panel is 8.34 amps. while the weight ranges from 40 pounds for the smaller panel to 44 pounds for the two bigger panels.
